Summer in Urabandai

August 1, 2018January 23, 2019 jsukigara

Urabandai is one of the most rich in nature and beautiful area, the north part of Mt. Bandaisan (1,816m) in Fukushima. Due to the volcanic activities of Mt. Bandaisan, lots of lakes and swamps are around there. Lake Hibara, Onogawa, Akimoto and the most famous trekking sight, Goshikinuma (five color’s swamps).

Mid Summer at the end of July, the area is filled with blossoming dainty alpine plants and the flood of green shower of the leaves. The fantastic and various harmony of the blue sky, graceful mountains, clear water, pure wind, green leaves and tiny flowers is healing a little tired people’s hearts coming from cities like Tokyo. The great nature is there.
